Hip Hop Camp
is a one week full-day dance camp for children 7-16 years of age.
(There is no class on July 4th.)
Students will be divided into two age groups:
- Tweens (ages 7-11)
- Teens (ages 12-16)
Activities
Using age-appropriate music and movement, the program includes two daily dance classes
and rehearsal for the end of camp performance.
Also included in the daily activities is a “urban art” art class.
We’ll cover both formal artists such as Basquiat as well as “street” graffiti art based on lettering and stencils.
What You Need to Know
The camp will be held from 9am to 3pm daily at the Grace United studio of the Claire School of Dance,
inside Grace United Methodist Church, 1245 Heights Blvd.
(It's the building with “Grace United” painted on side).
The entrance to the building is through the passage from the parking lot, facing Yale Street.
Attire is t shirt and either shorts or leggings.
Bare feet or dance sneakers.
Bring a sack lunch.
We provide a healthy snack.
Parents are invited to attend our show at the end of camp.

Hip Hop Camp is a program of the Claire School of Dance.
is a program of the Claire School of Dance’s summer program, Summer Magic.
The goal of Summer Magic is to provide stimulating, wholesome, educational,
and fun activities in a child-centered, small-group environment.
Tuition
Tuition is $200. Supplies and snack are included.
Space is extremely limited. Class size is limited to 12 students. Early registration is highly recommended.
Tuition is transferable but non-refundable.
